The .50CAL Double Ligero , a Damn good Cigar but not for the faint of heart!
.50Caliber Double Ligero Box Pressed 56 X 6

After a week of anticipation I finally got my order of the .50Caliber Double Ligero Box Pressed 56 X 6 5 cigars from Rolling Thunder Cigars. After patiently waiting a few days for them to "rest" in my humidor I braved the mid 30's temp and fired one up. This cigar boasts a double Ligero wrapper that is oily to the touch, rich dark brown color to the eye and a sweet creamy smoke to the taste buds. After a third of the way through the burn was steady and even with those little white dots (which us cigar nuts find appealing. This is some aged tobacco!) developed in the ash. Two thirds in the ash finally fell and the burn picked off where it started, this time the smoke was richer and I notice a bit of rush to my head. It wasn't bad, it just let me know I was smoking a full bodied cigar. The last third finished with a chocolate/nut taste which was very appealing. I look forward to smoking the next four as I am sure this cigar will not disappoint. For a full disclosure I used a v-cut and paired this with a fresh black cup o' joe.
